How did you meet?: Bill and I met at 10 PM on Tuesday, February 24th on the N/R train at the Whitehall stop. I was coming back from opera rehearsal and Bill was coming home from the office. We kept looking at each other for about 30 stops until Bill had to get off the train in Brooklyn. Bill asked for my phone number on his Wall Street Journal as the subway doors were open. I quickly wrote down my phone number and as the doors closed, both of us did a little happy dance (me in the subway car, Bill on the platform). He called me the next day and we’ve been together ever since.
