How did you meet?: This summer I went to West Africa with charity: Mercy Ships as a photojournalist. On my way back to NYC I planned 2 short stops in Europe.  The first stop was in Munich, for a close friend’s wedding (where I caught the bouquet!).  The next stop was to Paris to see an old friend, Karina. Karina picked me up from Charles de Gaulle and mentioned that her brother-in-law would be at dinner.  I didn’t think anything about it at the time… but when I saw him, I knew.   How did he propose?  Arnaud and I were in the South of France visiting his parents on Thanksgiving.  We prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal for his (French) family and then after dinner Arnaud proposed on the beach.   When did you know he was “the one”: I knew the moment I saw him that I would marry him.   Best NYC moment together: It was a crisp fall day, we were walking along the river near Battery Park.  The leaves were all orange, red and gold and falling like confetti from the trees.  It was tres romantic.  Future Groom: Arnaud Davy Fabis  Age: 26 Hometown: Paris Neighborhood: Upper West Side  Alma Mater: Inseec - Paris Occupation: Digital Media / Contacts and Cocktails Parents: Monsieur and Madame Bernard Fabis Charities you feel closest to: I love what my fiancé is doing for Africa with Charity Sphere. Any Boards or committees:  I support everything April does – and she supports many charities. Hobbies/Interests: Design, Graphics, Digital Media, Fishing, Playing Guitar + Trumpet When did you know she was “the one”? On the night I first met April, she picked up my guitar and played a song.  Voila. Did the proposal go as planned?  Not exactly.  I planned to propose on the beach carousel, but the carousel was closed by the time we finished Thanksgiving dinner.
