How did you meet?: Antoine and I met at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk at the South Street Seaport. I was walking in memory of my father and Antoine was with his mother, who is recovering from lymphoma. We recognized each other from our alma mater. Antoine was one year younger than me at Yale. He asked me to join him on the Walk and less than three years later we were engaged.
How did he propose? It was our sixth day in Paris. That evening, we had our best dinner yet – at a local restaurant, Oscar. Leaving dinner, Antoine suggested that we walk to the Eiffel Tower. We found a park bench with a view of the Tower. Antoine got down on one knee and proposed.
