St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children 23RD ANNUAL GOLF OUTING

ST. MARY’S HEALTHCARE SYSTEM FOR CHILDREN HONORS HENRY E. LIEVRE OF HUNTER ROBERTS INTERIORS AT 23RD ANNUAL GOLF OUTING

Over 150 Golfers Enjoy a Day on the Greens to Help Raise Funds & Awareness for St. Mary’s Kids

Henry E. Lievre of Hunter Roberts Interiors was named the 2009 Golf Honoree and recipient of the William S. Straight Humanitarian Award at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children’s 23rd Annual Golf Outing held on Monday, September 21st at North Hills Country Club in Manhasset, Long Island.

At just 33 years of age, Mr. Lievre is a successful young professional who embodies the spirit of giving back, and encourages others to become personally involved in charitable endeavors. Leading a successful career, Mr. Lievre has been rising in his field of Interiors Construction Estimating.

But, Mr. Lievre’s real passion lies in helping to improve the health and quality of life for children with special needs at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, one of the nation’s premiere providers of intensive rehabilitation, education, and specialized medical care for children and families facing complex medical and life-limiting conditions due to serious illness and injury, or complications of premature birth.

Mr. Lievre follows in his father’s footsteps, Henry T. Lievre, President and Founder of Independent Wealth Advisory Group, and board member and past Chairman of St. Mary’s Foundation for Children. The senior Lievre was honored at last year’s Golf Outing for his outstanding contributions, commitment, and compassion for St. Mary’s kids. Both father and son make a remarkable team when it comes to caring for New York’s children with special healthcare needs.

Over 150 golfers enjoyed a day on the greens split between North Hills Country Club and North Shore Country Club in Glenhead, LI. Everyone then joined a relaxing cocktail hour and dinner accompanied with raffle drawings, auctions, and prizes at the scenic North Hills.

St. Mary’s annual golf outing brings businesses, community leaders, and volunteers together for a great cause—to raise awareness and funds for children with special needs. Proceeds of the golf outing are dedicated to building the “Golfers for St. Mary’s Playground” to promote therapeutic healing and recreation for St. Mary’s kids.

The William S. Straight Humanitarian Award is an honor awarded in memory of William Straight, a former board member of St. Mary’s Hospital for Children and steadfast advocate for children with special healthcare needs. In William’s memory, St. Mary’s recognizes an individual each year at the golf outing who exemplifies outstanding leadership and dedication to St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, such as the Lievre’s.
